Considered one of the most promising sopranos of her generation, she has wowed audiences with her extraordinary technical abilities, unique voice colour, and expression, from competition appearances, through Donna Anna at the Vienna Opera Festival (2020) to her Carnegie Hall Gala debut (2023).
Kurucova's 2022/2023 season also includes the premiere and recording of "Meditations on
Dichotomy," written by Stroon for soprano and ensemble, as well as a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York, a series of chamber concerts in Vienna (Austria), and a collaboration with experts from Masaryk University in the Czech Republic as a guest artist in a research project at the Department of Experimental Linguistics.

Kurucová has achieved many successes, including being a winner of the Classical Music Prize for interpretation of Mozart in the Manhattan International Music Competition (2023, USA), Munot Opera Gala prize in the International Casting Competition Opernspiele Munot (Switzerland, 2023), winner of the second place of category women in the International Competition Iuventus Canti (Slovak rep, 2023), finalist in the 13th International Opera Singing Competition Citta di Brescia in memory of Maria Callas (2022) and the International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition, where she won the Prague-American Friends of the Karlovy Vary singing competition award for an outstanding performance

(Czech Republic, 2021). In 2019, she won four prizes at the Mikulas Schneider Trnavsky International
Competition (Slovakia), including first prize in the women's category and prizes from the Slovak
National Theatre, the Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów (Poland) and Theátre Lyrichorégra 20
(Canada). In the same year, 2019, she was a finalist in the prestigious International Hans Gabor
Belvedere Competition in Austria and received an award from Shenzhen Theatre Poly (China) at the
Théâtre Lyrichorégra 20 - Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques competition in Montreal, Canada.
Her talent and exceptional technical skills have also been recognized with scholarships from
Internationale OpernWerkstatt - Festival der Jungen Stimmen (2022, Switzerland), Vincero Academy
(2022, NY, USA), and Vienna Opera Academy (2020, Austria).

Another exciting collaboration took place in 2018 when she recorded the voice of the main
character, opera singer Viola, in the award-winning short film "Yellow". The film was selected for
the highly prestigious selection at the Annecy International Film Festival in France was a winner at the
Piccolo Animazione International Festival in Italy, at the KROK International Festival of Animated Films
in Russia and was also nominated for the Slovak National Award "Sun in the Net".
Among her numerous international performances, it is worth mentioning the Vinceró Gala at
Carnegie Hall (NY, USA, 2023), a series of chamber concerts in Vienna (Austria, 2022), or her
collaboration with the Baroque ensemble Collegium Wartberg (Slovakia, 2021). A special moment for
the soprano was her debut at the Vienna Opera Festival, where she appeared as Donna Anna in
Mozart's opera Don Giovanni accompanied by the Wiener Festspiele Orchestra (Vienna, Austria,
2020). In addition to her successful participation in international competitions, 2019 also brought her
performances at the Gala de Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques with Ensemble Sinfonie de Montreal
(Canada), the Opening Concert of the 100th Season of the Slovak National Theatre (Bratislava,
Slovakia) with the National Theatre Orchestra, and the Opera Gala of the Perugia Music Festival in
Italy, accompanied by the Virtuosi Brunenses Orchestra


She has developed her artistic skills under the guidance of renowned international experts such as
Prof. Eva Blahová (Knight 1st Class of the Order of the Finnish Lion, the Golden Badge of Honour for
Merit for the Republic of Austria, the Ludovít Štúr II Order of Merit Class of the Slovak Republic)
during her master's studies at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, and Univ. prof
. Niels

Muus (Grammy and Pulitzer Prize nominee) during her postgraduate studies at MUK-Universität in
Vienna, Austria. 
Through masterclasses and prestigious training programs, she has worked with some of the world's most renowned opera stars, such as Grammy-winner Jennifer Larmor, Kristine Opolais, Rachel Willis Sorensen, and highly respected specialists such as Joan Dornemann (MET Opera, Emmy Award-winning, NY) and Ernesto Palacio (Rossini Opera Festival).
